Dear Friends of the JSF:
Hurricane Helene left an enormous path of destruction across the southern states. One of the hardest hit areas was Asheville, NC. JSF friend and editor Carol Boggess and her husband Sam live on a mountain farm north of Asheville. Their home, property, outbuildings, and automobiles suffered terrible damages.
When natural disasters strike, Americans are quick to respond. We are unified by our desire to help others. The JSF is a family of friends and one of our friends needs help. Food, water, and toiletries will not help because the roads are so terribly damaged that supplies cannot get to people in need. What they need is money! If you, or your church, or your civic group wants to help, please send your check to Carol Boggess addressed to her daughter’s home. Carol is a wonderful person and a great friend to me and the JSF. I sent a personal check to her recently. I invite you to do the same. See her attached letter and photos.
